Intern Spotlight: Stephanie, Social Media at 261 Fearless

I am a social media intern for 261 Fearless Club New England. 261 Fearless Inc. is an international nonprofit made up of smaller independent non-profit branches based on region. 261 Fearless is a social exercise club organized by women for women. Each club has numerous run groups based in certain towns. 261 Fearless Club New England has run groups in Revere, Dorchester, North Andover, and the Back Bay area, which meet weekly to go for non-competitive runs. Through these meet runs along with worldwide exercise challenges and running series, 261 Fearless aims to encourage women to get active, socialize, and empower one another.

My role as the social media intern is to create social media posts and improve 261 Fearless Club New England’s overall social media engagement. I design and post primarily on Instagram and Facebook using the story feature and regular posts to promote meet runs, running series, and monthly themes in order to expand our following and get more members to join the meet runs.  I have created various social media posts for the month of February, where the theme of the month was “Friendship”. I also started a new “Motivation Monday” story feature on Club New England’s Instagram page, featuring inspiring quotes.

Working with my supervisor has been super fun and she has listened to and been open to a lot of my ideas. We work really well together and it’s exciting collaborating and exchanging new ideas.
